The high galactic latitude molecular cloud LBN 86 (Sharpless 2-63) in the constellation Sagittarius at around 700 light years away. Unlike other nebulas I've imaged that contain dark nebulosity, this nebula is entirely dark so can only be seen because it obscures light from background stars.
Something else that caught my eye was a "green star" in the image (center of the cropped image). Green stars can't occur so must be something else. After asking some friends what they think, the consensus was that it's a planetary nebula (green from [OIII]). Represented in LRGB.
