The Small Magellanic Cloud in the constellation Tucana; a nearby galaxy at about 200,000 light years away. Shown here is the northern tip of the galaxy, which is rich in nebulosity. The brightest region is the open star cluster NGC346 whose light and winds have shaped the bright emission nebula associated with the cluster. Other bright patches of nebulosity including NGC371 (center) and NGC395 (just right of center) in addition to all the diffuse background H-alpha. Represented in Hα[OIII] bicolor.
