The Trifid nebula (Messier 20) located around 5200 light years away in the constellation Sagittarius. This nebula practically has it all and is a favourite among the visual astronomers and astrophotographers! The rendition shown only the narrowband (SHO) portion of the nebula in my usual red/yellow/blue palette. While clearly lacking the beautiful reflection nebulosity, I still find this rendition beautiful in its own right.
